Our mats are built for a rigorous and regular practice. The base is made from sustainable natural rubber instead of TPE, a common material found in large retail stores. Natural rubber is heavier, more durable, and helps keep the mat in place, even on slippery surfaces. Performance-wise, this allows the mat to be thicker and still supportive – without the sponginess that makes it harder to balance on other mats.

Our cork comes from pieces of bark harvested from oak trees in the Mediterranean, a practice that dates back over 1000 years. No trees are harmed or cut down in the making of our mats. All of the harvested back regenerates and will grow back over time. An added benefit of this process is that harvested cork trees absorb 3-5 times more CO2 than non-harvested trees. In fact, cork oak trees in Portugal alone help offset 10 million tons of carbon every year.

Our base is made from sustainable natural rubber from Vietnam and Thailand. Natural rubber is non-toxic, sustainable, and comes from trees that are never cut down. The natural rubber in our mats is created by tapping into gum trees similar to how one would tap into a maple tree. The liquid that comes out of the tree is then used to make the rubber for the bottoms of our mats, and over time, this liquid replenishes.
